Sea Gals Victory!
Cadets from CSRS VAndyck claim the 2016 trophy
Back in April the Cadet Sea Rangers met p in Suttom Coldfiled for the Annual Dolphin Trophy, with 10 teams from all over ready to take on the challenge. The day Started early for many, who were either travelling up or had stayed overnight in SRS Urchin’s Headquarters. Fortunately, the early morning snow had disappeared by the time everyone arrived, and the sun came out( on and off!).
The Challenge were based on theme of Voyages and Discoveries and included each team creating some distinctive tribal markings, making Sunhats, crossing a ravine, fishing for swamp creatures and a blindfold obstacle course.
The Day was a success and enjoyed by all, with Cadets from CSRS Vandyck Claiming the trophy this year under the team name ‘Sea Gals’. The ‘Mermaid Stars’ from CSRS Mermaid were second and in third place were the Sassy Sailors’ from CSRS Barnehurst. Gope you all getting ready from next year’s instalment, to be arranged by Hayley Vincent and Naomi Stanley in Dorset.
